An Author's Guide to FurrySmut.com

Submitting Works

Here are some simple guidelines to follow when submitting works of furry erotica that do not integrate pictures:

  1. Convert whatever file format your story is in, to a basic .txt. This will remove any italics, bolding, or special font you may have. We are very hesitant to host stories in a format other than basic text unless there are some extenuating circumstances. One major precursor to the story requirement of .txt format only is if the story integrates pictures. There will be a separate section for that.
  2. Check to make sure that the correct title is somewhere either inside of the e-mail your sending to me, or the story itself.
  3. Check to make sure that the name you wish to be posted publicly is included in the body of the e-mail or within the story. I have to use an author for the database, so pick a pseudonym to write under if you do not want your real one revealed.
  4. If you wish to have an e-mail publicized next to your name, please send the document from that e-mail. I will not publicize an e-mail unless instructed to do so, and only if the author can send me an e-mail from it.
  5. Finally, E-mail the story to me. Make sure that the story is e-mailed as an attachment. Do not simply paste it into the body of the e-mail. Also, remember to leave furry somewhere in the subject line or else I will not receive the e-mail.

If you have a work that integrates pictures, send me an E-mail. We'll talk about adding it.

The Database

The database runs off of the programming language PHP. It is a powerful language that loads at almost the same speed as HTML, and is far cheaper to develop, as well as faster, than Microsoft's ASP. The search engine can support any number of keywords, which can be deleted, added, or modified at any time. Searches may be done via author, title, or keywords using a forum search for title and author. The database can also store author's e-mails in addition to their stories. Programming of the database was done by the fellows at Webnautics. If you're looking for quality work in most any programming language with results that you can see and feel, go to them, also, mention my name and I'll be able to get a finder's fee percentage from whatever you commission.

I am leaving the above preamble for posterity. The new database will be created by myself and most likely be based on MariaDB instead of MySQL and will likely still use php. I do aim to maintain the same look and feel of the output and results though. Utilizing the same search page though I will need to add some modernisations to it.

Techwolf provides space for the database to run from, and the bandwidth for it to be downloaded from. This is no longer true. I self-host the site on a raspberry pi zero w 2. I may eventually move it to something actually good if this site gets more traffic.
He can be seen at cons with this massive beard dead link =(.
